Arbitration Introduction Arbitration is a legal technique for the resolution of disputes outside the courts, wherein the parties to a dispute refer it to one or more persons (the "arbitrators", "arbiters" or "arbitral tribunal"), by whose decision (the "award") they agree to be bound. It is a settlement technique in which a third party reviews the case and imposes a decision that is legally binding for both sides. UAE Society of Engineers formed an Arbitration Committee who is responsible for all the engineering arbitration whether for the best or by the separation between the extreme ends or by offering consultations to solving disputes and artistic matters as we had witnessed a remarkable progress in the economic, commercial and engineering construction in UAE, which sometimes inevitably leads to the claims and disputes of two legally bind parties. Society of Engineers participates in solving arbitration cases in UAE with the cooperation from the UAE courts or direct from our Arbitration Committee which increases the competence of the role of arbitration in the UAE. The Engineering arbitrator have essential and important role in solving the different cases of claims & disputes: - Concentration of the arbitrators on the cases in all sides and aspects. - In the arbitration, it is allowed for question, inquiries and investigation with the other party. - The time of the arbitration meeting is fair enough to give all the parties chance to express the reviews. - The arbitrator can also have assistance from the engineering aspects besides the law aspects. - The arbitrator has the right to reach any organization to have access to the information he needed. ×
