The Board of Directors of the Society of Engineers, at a recent meeting, approved the directions for developing the membership system.

Where the Board decided to approve and accept the digital graduation certificates inside the country and the equivalence of the academic degrees by the Ministry of Education in the country after verifying their validity electronically without reviewing the original. It was also decided to allow the renewal and extraction of a new membership for a period of one year, and for a period of 3 or 5 years for the serving members.  

Eng. Sulaiman Abdul Rahman Al Hajri, Secretary General of the Society of Engineers, explained that these procedures aim to facilitate and accelerate membership procedures in accordance with the directions of the wise leadership in facilitating clients’ affairs and pleasing clients and in line with the strategy of smart government and the transformation into a paperless government.
