To ensure its participation in international engineering forums, the Society of Engineers - UAE, represented by  the president Eng. Mohamed Mahmoud Mashroom, the General Manager Eng. Tariq Deemas and Eng. Razan Jijkli, joined the interactive virtual session (via Zoom) of 46th ITA general assembly.

The virtual session discussed the latest tunnel trends through a digital exhibition with the participation of 80 exhibitors representing major companies and institutions working in the field of tunnel design and construction.

The ITA-AITE World Tunnel Congress 2020 (WTC2020) was initially due to be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. However, it has been moved to a digital platform as a result of COVID-19.
