During their meeting at Bahrain Society of Engineers headquarters in Al-Joufir, the Gulf Engineering Union discussed with the GCC engineering societies the means of joint cooperation and activating communication among them, especially with regard to the membership of the members of the Gulf engineering societies. They also discussed the process of exchanging information to establish a common database among them, and also to establish a database engineering societies in the Gulf; aimed to adjust the standards and conditions for University certificates and engineering qualifications which are not approved by the engineering societies in GCC countries. In this regard, a representative of each engineering society has been selected to supervise the process, and the Society of Engineers in UAE (SOE - UAE) is represented by Eng. Sulaiman Al-Hajri, Board Member & Chairman of Membership Committee of SOE - UAE. The Gulf engineering society also discussed the unification of the benefits and discount programs enjoyed by the members of the Gulf engineering societies, to upgrade the services offered to the Gulf engineers, in order to achieve the development and prosperity of the GCC engineering sector.
