The Saudi Law Center for training organized the Middle East Law Conference in
the Moroccan capital, Rabat, under the theme "Arbitration and Mediation in the
Middle East and Africa", in the presence of a number of heads and members of the
Supreme Courts, Supreme Judicial Councils, Chiefs of Syndicates, Lawyers, Ministers
of Justice, Heads of Commercial and Administrative Courts of Appeal, Arbitration
institutions and associations.
The conference dealt with a number of issues and axes, foremost of which were
arbitration in the cases of construction and engineering. It also included a number
of meetings and dialogues to discuss all axes and to produce positive results on the
legal level, especially arbitration and mediation.
From the United Arab Emirates, the Society of Engineers, represented by Eng. Raed
Al-Arashi, a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Engineering
Arbitration Center of the Association, reviewed the advantages of the Center
and the services it provides to the public to resolve engineering and construction
disputes, contract disputes and engineering and construction legislation. The Society
of Engineers in the UAE is a role model to be followed in the field of arbitration and
mediation
