The Society of Engineers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) participated in the
Celebration of World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) on March
7, 2018 at the Federation's head office in Paris, under the theme "Achieving the
goals of sustainable development through engineering" on the occasion of the 50th
anniversary of the Union, with the participation of engineering organizations and
bodies worldwide.
Mariam Al-Thani, a member of the Society, represented The Society of Engineers in
the UAE, who also represented the Society in the International Women's Day.
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of World Federation of Engineering
Organizations (WFEO), Mariam Al-Thani, a member of the UAE Society of Engineers,
presented the Society's Shield to the World Federation of Engineering Organizations
to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
Al-Thani handed over the honor of the UAE Engineers Society to the Women's
Committee in the World Federation of the Engineering Organizations.
