Dr. Ghanem Kashwani, Security and Safety Advisor for the Oil Projects Company,
has been honored by the Society of Engineers-UAE for obtaining a professional civil
engineering license from the British Civil Engineers Association, the first UAE to receive
this license.
Kashwani, who obtained the PhD in civil engineering from Scotland, said: "This
achievement is not only a personal achievement, but an achievement that is added
to the record of UAE nationals in all fields and on all levels. It is the fruit of a three-
year effort of intensive training," said Kashwani, who holds a PhD in civil engineering
from Scotland. The efforts of Dr. Sobeih Khasaf, praised also the efforts exerted by
Dr. Sobih Khasaf, a fellow of the Institute of Civil Engineering in Britain by saying: "Dr.
Sabih made a great effort for my training and preparation. He was the supervisor of
the three-year training and rehabilitation phase until I took the exam and got the
license."
Dr. Ghanem Kashwani expressed his great pleasure in the initiative presented by the
Society of Engineers-UAE by inviting him to be honored at the Society's headquarters
as the first UAE citizen to obtain a professional license in the field of civil engineering
from the UK. He emphasized that this initiative comes within the framework of
continuous support and continuous encouragement provided by the Society of
Engineers for the UAE nationals, pointing out that such initiatives of the Society are
working to encourage citizens to obtain advanced certificates and professional in
the labor market, pointing out that the Society of Engineers in the UAE is the link
between the academic aspect and the labor market.
Keshwani explained that the honor received from the Society of Engineers has a
great impact and is a good gesture from the management of the Society, in line
with its principles and vision to pursue the best engineering practices in the UAE. He
stressed that he is excited to complete his journey in the service of the engineering
sector in the UAE, in the UAE ensuring that he is eager to complete his journey in
serving the engineering sector in the UAE, expressing his honor and appreciation
to be a role model to be followed and it will be a role model for other sons of the
Emirates in the field of Engineering calling all engineers - especially young people - to
spare no effort in obtaining the necessary training, scientific and practical degrees
that ensure the progress and development in the engineering sector and all other
fields.
