The Society of Engineers in the UAE has launched new services for the public in the
field of engineering arbitration, engineering and structural contracts and legislations,
in order to contribute to the resolution of engineering and construction disputes,
and to develop comprehensive solutions for the engineering background and the
legal background.
Eng. Raed Al-Arashi, a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the
Center for Engineering Arbitration and Alternative Means of the Society, said that
the engineering sector accounts for a large percentage of disputes and conflicts.
As engineering plays an effective role, it is important to focus on developing the
engineer's performance and Engineering arbitration and dealing with contracts
and legislations, in accordance with standards and standards consistent with the
accepted international regulations, to keep pace with the developments in the
world, by adopting arbitration as a solution to settle the dispute when it occurs.
Al-Arashi explained that the Society has adopted five services provided by the
Engineering Arbitration and Engineering Tools Center of the Society, which is the
technical reporting consultancy service, the engineering contracting consultancy
service, the engineering mediation service, the engineering dispute resolution
service through the engineering arbitration and the evaluation and qualification
of engineering experts through a training program for rehabilitating the Experts,
consisting of six training programs over an estimated period of eleven weeks.
It is worth mentioning that the Engineering Arbitration and Alternative Means Center
at the UAE Society of Engineers has issued a brochure in Arabic and English explaining
the five services offered by the Center to the public, to let the public know more
about these services and they can be obtained from the head office of the UAE
Society of Engineers in Dubai.
