Dear Colleagues,
The United Arab Emirates under the direction of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of United
Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and
Ruler of Dubai and their Highnesses Rulers of the Emirates, Senate Members of the Supreme Council of the Federation, is
playing a leading role in supporting the Society of Engineers ­ UAE in developing the engineering sector in various fields
especially in sustainability and renewable energy sector that situate the United Arab Emirates as a global hub in exchanging
expertise and taking advantage of the UAE's climate which allows the creativity of all the engineers without restrictions and
invest it in its citizens from all aspects of life. It will also reflects a positive outlook for the UAE as a leading and premium in the
global arena of networking hub for hosting international events, conferences and exhibitions throughout the year to cater all
the latest technologies, techniques, best inventions and scientific researches.
The Society of Engineers ­ UAE has adopted the initiative of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice
President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai "People's satisfaction and happiness can be achieved in UAE" as
we recently launched a state number of questionnaires to cover all spectrums of services provided by Society of Engineers -
UAE to all its customers, from the consulting engineering offices, construction companies, universities, developers,
construction and building materials suppliers, industrial enterprises and government sectors, down to all segments of society
from students to academics to the engineers, to the experts and to the decision-makers, in order to evaluate the services
provided and develop it down to the utmost satisfaction, and enhance communication between the association and its
members as a team.
The Clients Satisfaction Survey include questionnaires about its services in membership, training and development,
discount program for members, free seminars, conferences, exhibitions, and other services, as well as contributing through
the experiences of its members in the field of training and community service through the sustainable development of the
engineering expertise among its members.
The culmination to provide the best services and application of the best international standards has been renewed by the
Society of Engineers ­ UAE as we once again awarded by the ISO 9001:2008 certification for its quality in standards and
services provided by all its departments and this achievement is not only for the employees but for all the members of the
association.
The Code of Engineering Ethics is one of the most significant documents launched by the Society of Engineers - UAE, which
was signed by nearly 2,500 engineers within two months after its launching date which stems its importance by maintaining
the ethics of the engineering profession and to enhance the sector engineering at the state level.
Finally, I would like to give my sincere gratitude to all the staff of Society of Engineers - UAE and especially to the Editorial
Board of World of Engineering Magazine as they continue to provide exceptional services and for giving their support and
outstanding dedication in serving the engineering sector under the wisdom of our leader.
