Society of Engineers-UAE graduates 3rd Edition of the "Engineer 2020" Initiative, Launches New Website

Society of Engineers UAE recently organized the Third Edition of Engineer 2020 Initiative, which was attended approximately by 1000 engineers from across the UAE. The initiative focuses on enhancement and development of the Society of Engineers members’ expertise in preparation of the engineering sectors gearing up for the Expo 2020 and its associated projects. The Society of Engineers – UAE offered this initiative free to all its participants and provided 11 courses, all the facilities and its high levels of quality and professionalism, reaching to cost approximately 2 million dirhams.                                       
   

On 24th February 2016, Society of Engineers-UAE organized the Engineer 2020 Graduation Ceremony at Le Meridien Hotel in Dubai, under the patronage of H.E. Engineer Essa Al Maidoor, President of Society of Engineers-UAE. The ceremony was attended by the Society of Engineers-UAE Board of Directors, the Initiative’s lecturers, Government partners, and the Initiative’s Training Graduates, with the number of total guests reaching nearly 500 engineers . During the ceremony, the Society also launched their new website, which provides smart services to their members.

H.E. Eng. Al Maidoor welcomed distinguished attendees, and extended sincere thanks and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, God protect him, for their continued unlimited support of the engineering sector at state level. During his opening speech, Maidoor also thanked strategic partners from government agencies, as well as members of the Board of Directors and the Training Lecturers.

H.E. Eng. Maidoor stressed the importance of collaboration and constructing our future together, and explained that the Society of Engineers is building on the pillars of education to meet the aspirations of the future by enhancing the training and skills of engineers in the UAE.
